Zirconia, in particular, is proving to be an interesting material. Perfectly esthetic, our dental usiange center recommends it for many dental prostheses, especially long-span restorations.
Unlike the additive method of laser sintering, in which the product is manufactured layer by layer until the part is formed, dental machining is referred to as a subtractive method in which the material is milled in a block until the final product appears.
The material is sculpted by rapidly rotating a milling tool around its own axis, starting from the intended contour. Dental milling ensures consistently high manufacturing quality, which is essential, especially for products used in dental prosthetics.
